About
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Cassie—wife, mom, entrepreneur, homeschool “principal,” and forever lover of all things cozy and creative. Pemberley and Pine started as my little corner of the internet to share the everyday magic of homemaking, the joys (and occasional chaos) of teaching my kids at home, simple meal‑planning wins, book discoveries, and those “granny hobbies” that warm my soul.
After years of juggling a busy household and my children’s educations, I realized that what I craved most was connection—with other moms, with simple traditions, and with the kind of nourishing routines that turn a house into a home. From painting pinecone ornaments in winter to baking my favorite French bread rolls, I discovered that small, intentional acts could bring big joy. Currently, I homeschool my three kids, whip up meal plans that save time (and sanity!), and carve out afternoons for pastels, nature walks, and reading the next great novel.
I named my blog Pemberley and Pine after Mr. Darcy’s home in Pride and Prejudice. While our Pemberley is a much less grandiose version, it’s our perfect place tucked away in the pine trees which are beautiful and irritating when it comes to our gutters. Oh, such is life!
